This morning started with our first big team meeting in Bali, Roger gave the devotion and Brett prayed for our day and group.
We then headed off in 2 buses and Ketut’s car for our day.
First was the dump where we had a look at the school (more comments to come), then it was off to Bali Life to see where the orphanage was at.
Then lunch at Maccas (a meal is only $4), then free time for the day. Dinner at Lucky Day again.
A few members of the team have put some comments down so please read on below. Blessings Renee
- A big thank you to everyone praying for us. The Lord has prepared the way for us and everything is going smoothly. Blessings Dianne
- Praise God that it has been “cooler” than expected. For the visit to the rubbish dump and the beautiful children and the privilege of seeing the progress of the orphanage plus free time to enjoy some of Bali. God bless Kaye
- It was amazing to see the buildings that have emerged after our road building and laying foundations last year. I can’t wait to start painting and doing more on the site. Rhonda Tait
- The first visit to the rubbish dumb today and I’ve lost my words of description. The kids are beautiful. I am impressed with the progress of the orphanage. God is moving for the people of Bali. Megan
- I found the rubbish dump very confronting – I tried to prepare myself for the sight of where these lovely people live, but to see it was so saddening. The wonderful smiles on the children’s faces was so comforting in the end, and I am looking forward to when I see them again. Natalie
- To be back is good and to see progress at the orphanage was awesome! God Bles You all at Hope Valley Uniting Church Win
- The traffic organised KAOS or is that disorganised? The congestion and various streets, unpainted concrete is very bland. The rubbish dump had me lost for words and a tear in my eye. Ian
- God has been with us with the weather and with getting to our destnation safely. Praise God Roslyn
- It is fantastic to see the school after 2 years, it has tables, chairs and is in work order now. The weather is not to bad at the moment lets pray is stays cooler. Sue
- The air host was hot. His teeth were white and perfect. Bali is great too. I drive like the Balinese. Courtney
- Today we visited the school and played with the kids who came running when they saw us. The orphanage looks amazing and it will be great to be part of finishing off this amazing miracle. Tonight is Jacob’s formal night in Australia so we made sure he didn’t miss out on this auspicious occasion. See the photos! Viv (tomorrow they’ll be up)
- Much harder to haggle. Sian
- Had a great formal tonight. Arni was my date. It was beautiful. So much better than being at formal in AUS. JB
- Roads infested with motor scooters driven my ex-kamikazi pilots with a death wish. Wayne

- The weather this year is fantastic so far. Harold
- An experience that will not be forgotten for a long time. The driving by the Bali people is something like a Formula 1 race. Walter
