Day 5

WOW….What a day. We spent the day riding 26/27kms down a hill (and up a few too) through the countryside near Ubud.

Please pray for Courtney, Chantelle and Jacob as they are feeling a little under the weather. We give thanks for Dianne, Roslyn and Jeanette who are all much better after bouts of sickness.

Please read the teams comments below on todays adventures….

  • Even though I didn’t ride a bike just looking at the countryside was wonderful to see what God has created. The happiness of everyone at the finish line was incredible. The food was so nice after the ride. Roslyn
  • I did it! We did it! An amazing 26km bike ride. Felt like we really saw a beautiful part of Bali and the Balinese people. My bottom is still recovering. Thankyou for your prayers, we are blessed with good weather. Jeanette
  • I don’t know. I have writers block but I did have a sweet day on the bike. I enjoyed the lemon tea. Rachel
  • I spent the day between bed and the bathroom – good stuff. Courtney
  • Today was fun. We rode a bike 26km and I came 2nd in my group. It didn’t start as a race but we did a lot of overtaking. When we were on the way back I fell asleep! As soon as I was at the hotel I jumped in the pool. Jordan
  • Arggghhhh (pirates voice) today Super relaxing. Been sick so decided to rest up. Boring but good. Chatted with some locals tried to become a salesman, good stuff. Also saw a cat try to catch a bird. Entertaining stuff. Jacob
  • Today was good. No shopping for clothes. Brett
  • What a wonderful way to spend the day – riding around the villages, seeing the children run out to wave to us with their beautiful smiling faces, the speed of our bikes giving off a lovely cooling breeze – Just fantastic! Natalie
  • Thankyou God for an awesome day riding down the mountain on a bike. My only regret is that I was gripping the handlebars too tight to Hi-5 all the happy children who ran out as we passed (I haven’t ridden a bike for over 40 years) Rhonda
  • Great day even though I didn’t get past the carpark on the bike! Was great to see all the ecstatic faces – of children and bike riders. A swim in the ocean was very refreshing! Thanks to all. Win
  • I had a great day riding a bike. I think I went so fast my face fell off…..Hope you are having a great time in Adelaide. Sian
  • Today we rode 26km on push bikes. Tomorrow we walk like cowboys around the worksite…Viv

Today I experienced something that will live with me forever, to see the beautiful children and families of Bali come out and say “hello” and high 5 us as we rode past with their sticky fingers and all was such a blessing to me. The coffee plantation first and the lunch after were also great but the ride was just amazing. God is pretty awesome and is looking after us in such a beautiful way as we serve Him and His people.

Blessings Renee
